Who we are

North Shore Gym is a family-run gym that has been serving the community for more than 38 years  We offer a huge range of health and fitness services - our café being one of our member's favourites.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented café supervisor to join our vibrant team. We require someone with the availability to work a minimum of 4 mornings per week.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our café.
  • Help lead and support your fellow colleagues.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, smoothies and food.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Help to maintain a positive and community- based environment.
  • Order and liaise with our suppliers.
  • Assist with other front-of-house duties as required.

What we are looking for

To be successful in the role of Cafe Supervisor at North Shore Gym, you will have:

  • Experience in a supervisor or assistant manager role in a hospitality environment for at least 1 year.
  • An individual with at least 2 years' previous experience as a Barista.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Flexibility to work a minimum of 4 shifts per week.
  • The ability to consistently produce high-quality drinks under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
