RSL Queensland is a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation delivering innovative programs and initiatives that support veterans and their families.

The Team Leader – Housing Support, manages a team that provides high quality support to veterans and their families who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. The Veteran Homelessness Programme (VHP), provides private support, focusing on veteran homelessness, financial hardship and, in some cases, complex case management.

Operationally responsible for managing your team, along with representing and promoting Service Delivery within the veteran community, your ability to engage, lead and support RSL Queensland Housing Support Practitioners is critical to our success.

Reporting to our Senior Manager – Client Contact and Wellbeing Services, you play a key role in the delivery of first-class homelessness support to the veteran community and their families.

About you:

You'll bring rich experience in specialist homelessness services and/or specialist community services organisations. Your demonstrated experience in transformational leadership and managing a team through change will set you up for success. Formal qualifications in Human Services, Health Sciences, or similar will make your application eligible and competitive.

You will be using your working knowledge of person-centred and strength-based case management to mentor, lead, and motivate your team to continue to achieve high quality outcomes as your efforts enrich our culture and employee engagement. As your team will be geographically dispersed, local and intra-State travel will be a necessary element of your role.

Your understanding of the ADF environment and its unique sensitivities would also be highly regarded.
