An established and reputable design & construct contractor within the commercial fit-out and refurbishment space is seeking an Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team. Working across workplace, retail, hospitality, health and education projects, this role offers strong exposure, autonomy, and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative and high-performing environment, office located in the South Eastern Suburbs.

About the Role

As an Estimator, you will play a key part in shaping project outcomes by preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates across a variety of commercial fit-out and construction projects. You'll collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure competitive pricing and clear project scopes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys being involved in diverse, design-led projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret architectural drawings, design documentation, and site conditions
  • Prepare detailed estimates and cost plans across all trade packages
  • Conduct site visits, measurements, and assessments as required
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
  • Analyse quotes, evaluate trade coverage, and compile tender submissions
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Designers, and Senior Leadership during tender handovers
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet strict tender deadlines
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and trade partners

About You

  • Experience in estimating within commercial construction or fit-out (1–3+ years ideal)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret drawings and technical documents
  • Confident communicator with sound supplier/subcontractor relationship skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders at once and work to tight timelines
  • Proficient with estimating software (Procore, 1 Breadcrumb, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office)
