In line with our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Accounts Receivable and Payable Officer to join our team Permanent part-time, 5 days a week, working flexible hours of at least 25 hours per week at our Canberra branch. This exciting opportunity offers job security and the chance to progress with a dynamic National Company, enabling you to become a crucial member of our team.

Key areas of responsibilities are:

  • Receive and sort mail
  • Prepare and process cash, cheques, c/cards, and EFTs
  • Collection, follow up and allocation of payments
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Communicate with customers
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries review, sort and match invoices and allocate invoices for payment
  • Reconciliation of supplier payments
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Work with procurement, stores, and other key employees to ensure timely and accurate entry of suppliers.
  • Vendor file maintenance
  • Produce month end receivables and payable reports

Who we're seeking:

  • At least two years' experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics/Navision, Pronto or similar.
  • At least 3 years Accounts Receivable experience.
  • An individual that is punctual and reliable
  • Good communication with strong interpersonal skills and negotiating capabilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • Minimum 3 years, accounts receivable experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-motivated to succeed and work well under pressure
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
