**The Role**
The Assistant Communications Security Account Manager (A/CAM) is responsible for the receipt, custody, handling, accounting, distribution, safeguarding and destruction of all Communications Security (COMSEC) material and equipment held on charge or local issue.

The COMSEC account is required to be maintained in accordance with the Defence Communications Security Accounting and Management Manual (DEFCAMMAN).

The A/CAM engages with relevant stakeholders, offers expert advice, identifies and understands client needs in order to plan and deliver through the COMSEC Account team. COMSEC technical knowledge and experience combined with customer focus and team management skills are all essential to achieve outcomes for Australian Defence Force (ADF) operating units whilst continually operating within a regime of strict adherence to Deputy Chief of Army (DCA) and Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) requirements.

As part of the Systems Program Office (SPO) team, the APS 6 Technical Specialist - Technical Professional will work closely with, and in support of, the Acquisition and Sustainment teams and contribute by driving continuous improvement, reform and capability uplift within the team.

About - The Joint Command and Control Systems Program Office (JC2SPO) is responsible for the acquisition, integration and sustainment of command, and control warfare systems for the Australian Defence Force across the country and in operational theatres overseas.

JC2SPO acquires and sustains joint-information warfare capabilities that are mission critical to all three services of the Australian Defence Force.

JC2SPO is responsible for the delivery and sustainment of Joint Data Networks (JDN), and Command Support Systems.

Extensive exposure to COMSEC practices, materials and equipment. Experience may have been gained through recent COMSEC experience or formal qualifications.

With multiple stakeholders to satisfy and under the pressure of customers operational demands, you can plan, prioritise and communicate effectively to ensure that team efforts are appropriately directed to meeting customers’ needs and keeping them informed.
- Perform complex communications technical activities and associated tasks working to agreed priorities and outcomes.
- Accountable for exercising assigned technical authorities and any Technical Regulatory Authority delegations.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with team members, actively participate in team work.
