Senior Business Analyst

Avia Homes is not your typical home builder. We are a young, fast-growing, and energetic team that believes in doing things differently and doing them well. With a reputation for quality and a genuine passion for people, we are redefining what it means to build homes and build careers. We're growing fast and are looking for a Senior Business Analyst.

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for managing the intake, prioritisation, and execution oversight of technology-related business requests in line with business priorities. Ensuring that business initiatives are assessed for feasibility and strategic alignment, that requirements are clearly defined, and that delivery outcomes are consistent with long-term technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary interface between business units and the Technology division for all new project and change requests, including routine reviews of demand with the CTO to ensure oversight and accountability is maintained.
  • Conduct impact assessments, requirements gathering, and scope validation for incoming business initiatives.
  • Assist the CTO in prioritisation forums to assess business impact, technical feasibility, and alignment with the technology roadmap.
  • Assist with ensuring all proposed changes and initiatives adhere to technology standards, best practices as specified by the CTO, and support long-term strategic objectives.
  • Expand and maintain the technical project delivery stack to support scalable, efficient delivery in line with strategic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to deliver high-quality technical and business outcomes.
  • Maintain a clear and visible backlog of business demand in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the CTO to help manage the roadmap and prepare updates as per specifications.
  • Facilitate alignment workshops and stakeholder sessions to ensure mutual understanding of problems, scope, and desired outcomes.
  • Ensure consistent and clear documentation of requirements, solution options, trade-offs, and business impacts.
  • Escalate risks and misalignments to the CTO with supporting analysis and recommendations.
  • Ensure clear requirements are available and understood through design, build, and release phases in collaboration with delivery teams and strategic partners.
  • Assist in driving a culture of best practices, including ensuring technology demand is submitted and triaged via correct channels.
  • Support delivery planning and progress tracking activities, providing exposure to core project management functions and contributing to PMO maturity.
  • Support post-implementation review and benefit realisation tracking to ensure intended value is delivered.
  • Assist change communication and stakeholder adoption planning in coordination with relevant business leads.

The ideal candidate will hold the following qualifications, experience & skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (highly desirable).
  • Relevant certifications in business analysis, Agile frameworks, or project management are advantageous.
  • Minimum 4-6 years in a business analysis role within a technology-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with technology roadmaps and enterprise architecture principles, including understanding how proposed changes impact systems, data, integrations, and alignment with the overall enterprise technology strategy.
  • Strong track record of managing and triaging complex business demand pipelines.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery practices, ITSM frameworks, and enterprise tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Hubspot, or similar is advantageous.
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into actionable technical outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation capabilities.
  • Skilled in preparing high-quality documentation for executive and delivery audiences.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment.
