About the role

We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our Construction & Development Finance team who is experienced in assessing and approving credit applications for mortgages.

You will be reporting directly to the Head of Construction/Development conducting Credit Analysis on small to medium scale development projects.

Our applications come from two streams – third-party mortgage brokers via our BDMs and direct applicants via our online origination platform.

Your day would be a mix of new files for assessment and completing the follow-up on existing files.

What you will be doing

• Preparing credit submissions for commercial and consumer loan applications with a specific focus in construction and development.
• Perform reviews on ongoing projects and manage construction progress drawdowns.
• Collaborate with external professional stakeholders.
• Review & analyse property valuations, Quantity Surveyor reports and Progress Certifications.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of credit/risk analysis, corporate structures, and financial statements.
• Provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
• Exhibit professional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail to meet internal KPIs.

What you bring

• Experience in property or finance industries preferable
• Minimum of 1 years relevant experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and key stakeholders.
• MS office experience with key capabilities in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• A tertiary qualification in Business/Finance and/or Commerce not necessary but highly regarded.
