About The Team
The City of Gold Coast is undergoing an exciting transformation, and as part of this, we are bringing our IT services in-house. To support this journey, we're looking for a Senior Information Analyst to play a key role in delivering specialist SAP data integration and development across our enterprise data platform.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data professional who thrives on solving complex problems, optimising data models, and contributing to a culture of data-driven excellence within one of Australia's fastest-growing cities.
About Your New Role
In this role, you'll take the lead on specialist SAP data integration and development, ensuring seamless data flow and connectivity across the organisation. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the City to design, develop, and optimise data models that drive strategic, data-informed decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Analyse complex data structures and translate them into simplified, business-friendly data models.
- Design and develop dimensional models and star schemas to enhance performance and analysis.
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries, documentation, and governance standards.
- Collaborate with business units to understand data requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Optimise data models and pipelines for performance, quality, and integrity.
- Provide technical expertise in SAP data architecture and best practices.
- Mentor and support Information Analysts within the team.

We're Looking For People Who Have
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent and relevant experience.
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Analyst Associate DP-700 or similar experience
- SAP Certified: SAP Analytics Cloud Data Analyst
- Strong SAP knowledge, experience with SAP data structures, integration and data extraction
- Advanced data modelling skills in designing and developing dimensional models, star schemas and optimising data performance
- Skilled in developing and managing data transformation processes to ensure integrity and efficiency
- Committed to maintaining data accuracy, consistency and compliance
- Proficient in SQL and enterprise data tools such as SAP BW, Azure Data Factory, Power BI or similar
- Strong attention to detail when identifying data anomalies or optimisation opportunities
- Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to collaborate with multiple teams
- Able to thrive during periods of change such as insourcing and transformation initiatives
