Purpose of the role:

As part of an extraordinary Project Delivery team, you will take on the responsibility of Project Managing various installations across all Event and Activation markets s throughout Australia.

Purpose and Dimension of the role:

The role will require the successful applicant to be driven by working in a flexible and rapidly changing environment and thrive on finding innovative improvements to the overall operation.

Although the role is primarily based in Melbourne, interstate travel, weekend and works outside of normal business hours is required.

Role Responsibilities:

  • The focus of the role is to ensure that all Spacecube event projects are completed on time, within budget and to our high-quality standard.
  • Manage these projects in a professional manner that meets our client's requirements and ensures return business and long-term relationships.
  • Management of external consultation with clients, contractors and Engineering Professionals as well as internal build teams
  • Engage with external stakeholders - builders, contractors, subcontractors and the venue in the build process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Consult with the internal Spacecube team to confirm the scope of the project and obtain the required approvals.
  • Engage with internal design team for up-to-date documentation and accurate information for Spacecube Warehouse and Site Teams to deliver
  • Manage and administer subcontractor agreements, and ensure invoices are approved and processed in a timely manner.
  • Navigate and interpret building documentation, regulation and building codes to manage the work progress.
  • Manage the compliance of documents to ensure regulations are followed, specifications are met & the correct materials are used.
  • Identify manage and implement mitigation strategies for the risk associated with the project prior to commencement and during the project's entirety.
  • Develop and control and report on Project timelines
  • Deliver projects in accordance with Spacecube – Quality, environmental and project management plans.
  • Solving technical and non-technical problems throughout the life of the project
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Preparing internal and external project reports to maintain stakeholder expectations and management
  • Foster & drive a strong WHSEQ culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • Ensure all defects, including costs are recorded and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Ability to safely Supervise contractors and employees working on site

Candidate Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with delivering Event Projects or related experience in the event industry
  • Strong understanding of project management and safety principals timeframes and costs, risks, and statutory requirements
  • Strong Understanding of Temporary building legislation (ABCB Temporary Structures and standards of performance, quality, costs and safety
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Great Communication skills
  • Able to work in demanding timelines and schedules to meet client deadlines.
  • Sound knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and relevant compliance codes.
  • Be a team player and embody the Spacecube values.
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of contractors
  • Motivating the team to achieve organisational goals.
  • Developing and implementing a timeline/schedule to achieve targets.
  • Empowering team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
