Medical Secretary – Leading Gastroenterology Practice at Hollywood Private Hospital

Advanced GI is the largest and most progressive gastroenterology practice in Perth, located at Hollywood Private Hospital. We are seeking a reliable, personable, and motivated medical secretary to join our team five days per week (Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day) with a start date from 30th September.

This is a rare opportunity to work alongside high-caliber, friendly specialists and a dedicated team in a supportive, busy environment with strong potential for career growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answering calls, managing enquiries, and booking patient appointments
  • Coordinating outpatient clinic sessions
  • Assisting with inpatient admissions and procedural bookings
  • Handling patient billing, receipting, and Medicare online claiming
  • General office duties including emails, scanning, and document management
  • Providing admin support to specialists and the Practice Manager
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in a medical secretarial or administrative role
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office; experience with Genie or other practice management software is highly desirable (training can be provided)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including a warm, professional phone manner
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritise, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
