Office Administrator – Cairns Show Association
This role provides general office administration support to the Cairns Show Association. The position is designed to cover a wide range of responsibilities; the following points highlight the key duties and skills required, but are not intended to limit the scope of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide front counter support and respond to telephone and email enquiries.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail: collect, date, sort, forward, and file.
- Assemble, index, and maintain both manual and electronic files (new, active, and inactive).
- Perform reception duties, including answering and responding to oral and written requests for information.
- Monitor, maintain, and order stationery and promotional material as required.
- Draft, proofread, and manage correspondence.
- Manage office and Show key systems.
- Handle all stabling and camping enquiries, both year-round and during the Show.
- Maintain the Membership Database and associated correspondence.
- Organise Committee/Staff badges, apparel, and business cards.
- Manage and maintain Committee/Staff Blue Cards and RSA certifications.
- Support the Secretary/Manager, Events, and Venue Coordinators.
- Correspond with multiple stakeholders regarding office and Show matters.
- Meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
- Be confident, professional, and well-presented.
- Willingness to work overtime during the Show period.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- Experienced in using social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
