Talent Focus Recruitment are hiring for a Technical Sales Representative with a background/experience in Sheet Metal Our client provides high quality laser cutting and metal fabrications services.

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical advice to staff, customers and suppliers on laser cutting, bending and fabrication
  • Quoting - Including Laser cutting, bending, fabrication, assembly and subcontracted processes
  • Understanding customer's needs including producing quotations, raising orders, customer service and inquiries by phone, in person or email.
  • Interpretation of sales/quote request
  • Provide recommendations to customers
  • Entering part data and workplan, maintaining and updating the database as required
  • Obtain knowledge of competitor's business operations
  • Processing paperwork
  • Arrange goods deliveries and provision of services
  • Report sales to Management
  • Follow up with customers and resolve issues
  • Ensure work environment is safe
  • Maximize production through better setup and procedures on all laser cutting, bending and fabrication jobs
  • Material/subcontract purchasing as required
  • Mentor and coach other sales staff
  • Process orders

Skills and experience required:

  • Technical sheet metal/fabrication experience or background
  • Sales / Customer Service experience
  • Laser cutting experience or background
  • Demonstrated reliability
  • Interpret technical drawings
  • Understand external manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Solid computer skills using ERP, Office and CAD software
