Position Overview

We are looking for a kind and reliable Female Mental Health Disability Support Worker to provide backup morning-shift support for an independent female client currently residing in the Mental Health Unit at Griffith University Hospital, Gold Coast.

The scheduled backup shifts are on:

Mon 8, 15, 22, 29 December and Wed 17, Fri 19, Sat 20 December 2025.

Additional shifts may also be arranged depending on availability, performance, and client needs.

Paid training will be provided before the first shift to ensure you feel confident and supported in the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide gentle, person-centred, and trauma-informed support aligned with the client's mental health goals.

  • Encourage participation in community, social, and recreational activities.

  • Support emotional well-being and promote independence.

  • Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and coordinators.

  • Maintain clear and accurate shift notes and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, or equivalent.

  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs is highly valued.

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.

  • Valid Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

  • Reliable car, open driver's licence, and comprehensive insurance.

  • Warm, patient, and professional communication skills.

  • Availability for the listed December morning shifts.
