PROJECT MANAGER 6-STOREY COMMERCIAL & RETAIL DEVELOPMENT | SYDNEY EAST

We're representing a growing builder–consultancy entering an exciting new phase of direct delivery, commencing with a six-storey commercial and retail development in Double Bay.

This is a hands-on, design-led project requiring a capable Project Manager who can lead procurement, programming, and delivery with professionalism and precision.

Working closely with the company Director, this role offers visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to help shape the delivery culture of a business poised for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of project delivery — design coordination, program, procurement, budget, and on-site execution.
  • Lead subcontractor engagement, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Liaise directly with the client, consultants, and internal team to ensure quality and performance targets are met.
  • Oversee and mentor site and coordination staff to maintain strong project structure and accountability.
  • Ensure high standards of documentation, safety, and compliance are upheld.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within a Head Contractor or Tier 2/3 builder.
  • Strong background delivering Class 2 residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects valued between $5M–$20M.
  • Technical understanding of D&C methodology and project sequencing.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and client-facing ability.
  • Ability to work within a compact, high-performing team environment with autonomy and accountability.
