Our Team
Our Above Water Systems team designs and engineers commercial and naval ships – as well as providing in-service support capabilities. We're proud to bolster Australia's sovereign capability through operational support to our Navy. The Role:
An opportunity for a
Project Support officer
to join our team based at Garden Island defence Precinct. You will contribute to significant projects in a dynamic and innovative environment.

You will support the coordination of the PMO/Project Office activities which could cover any or all PMO related disciplines (Planning & Scheduling, Cost/Schedule Analyst, Risk & Opportunity, Document Control, Project/Contract/Subcontract Administration, etc) as well as administrative tasks depending on the defined PMO perimeter.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Provide essential support in project management office (PMO) activities for various bids and projects, ensuring effective coordination and management of key project elements.
  • Responsible for meticulous management of data, customer records, and file systems, upholding the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate and produce high-quality project artifacts, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Prepare, manage, and present regular reports and dashboards, providing critical insights for project monitoring and decision-making.
  • Facilitate project-related travel and procurement processes, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to policies.

How about you?

  • A relevant Business Administration or Engineering TAFE Certificate, or comparable experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective interactions with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, capable of handling complex data sets and analyses.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.
  • Proven experience in Project or Office administration, demonstrating efficiency and reliability.
