About the role

Makin Homes Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Supervisor to join our team in Mandurah, WA. As a full-time Residential Construction Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating construction activities on our prestigious residential building projects. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Candidates must be Australian citizens only.

What you'll be doing

  1. Supervise and coordinate the work of construction contractors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  2. Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety protocols
  3. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns that arise during construction
  4. Provide on-site guidance and support to construction workers, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment
  5. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective construction plans and strategies
  6. Maintain detailed records and documentation related to the construction process
  7. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the continuous development of the company's construction practices

What we're looking for

  1. Substantial experience as a Residential Construction Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry
  2. Strong technical knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and building codes
  3. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate construction teams
  4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plan and technical specifications
  5. A commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail
  6. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  7. Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Building and Construction or equivalent
  8. Acceptable qualifications include Certificate IV in Building, Diploma in Construction, relevant trade qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
