About the role

As a experienced Mechanical Engineer at Mick Murray Welding (N.T.)', you will play a vital role in the development and maintenance of sophisticated mechanical systems and equipment. Based in Bohle QLD 4818, this full-time position will see you contribute to the company's innovation and growth while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing, testing and improving mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements
  • Overseeing the installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment
  • Analysing data, identifying issues and implementing solutions to optimise system performance
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering projects on time and within budget
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulations and workplace safety protocols
  • Providing technical guidance and support to production staff
  • Contributing to the development of new products and processes

What we're looking for

  • Australian Recognised Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is the minimum qualification requirement
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Proven track record of designing, developing and optimising mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Proficient in using engineering software and tools
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks software is required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
