We're searching for a visionary Programs Manager to champion clinical excellence and operational success across our Violence Abuse and Neglect (VAN) services. From tackling sexual harm and family violence to driving interagency collaboration and workforce development, your leadership will be the catalyst for positive change.

  • Occupational Therapist Level 5
  • Senior Psychologist
  • Social Worker Level 5

About the Role:

The Programs Manager will lead the clinical and operational management of services within the Violence Abuse and Neglect (VAN) portfolio. This role oversees a multidisciplinary team delivering essential services addressing sexual harm, family violence, child protection, and interagency response programs across the district. The manager provides strategic and clinical leadership across multiple program streams, ensuring trauma-informed and culturally safe care. They support staff management, development, and performance to build a high-performing workforce. Collaboration with health services, emergency departments, and external agencies is key to maintaining continuity of care and streamlined service pathways.

The role also contributes to clinical governance, including the after-hours VAN response at Wyong and Gosford Hospital Emergency Departments. Candidates must hold a tertiary qualification and current registration with AHPRA or the relevant professional body and have extensive leadership experience in complex, multidisciplinary health or community services. A deep understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe care, in VAN practice areas for children, adults and families is essential. Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and aligning services with state policies and best practices are required.

About You

  • Registered with AHPRA or a current member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Hold a valid NSW driver's licence and willing to travel as part of your role.
  • Experienced leader with a passion for creating safer communities and empowering vulnerable individuals and families.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic and clinical leadership across complex, multidisciplinary health or community services
  • Deep understanding of trauma-informed care, child protection, sexual assault, and family violence service delivery
