About the Centre/Service

Catjump Preschool is a sessional, not for profit community kindergarten offering programs for 3 and 4-year-old children. The preschool is situated in a quiet residential area with views from the playground to a pine tree reserve and community park. The kindergarten setting creates a natural and tranquil environment for the children to explore. The approved provider is the Catjump Pre-school Committee of Management (CoM).

Tuesday 8am - 3pm, Thursday 8am - 3pm, Friday 8am – 4.15pm

Description

Catjump Preschool is seeking a fun, energetic, and motivated Educator to join our friendly and supportive team. Working alongside the Early Childhood Teacher, you will assist with the delivery of our 3- and 4-year-old programs, fostering children's learning and development in a positive, caring environment. The role includes building strong relationships with children, families, and staff, supporting enrolment tasks for up to one hour per week (with potential increases during busy times), and contributing to maintaining a clean and safe facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in the early childhood sector, sound knowledge of VEYLDF, EYLF, NQS, and relevant legislation, demonstrate commitment to best practice and child safety, and possess strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team are essential.

Qualifications

Must hold a minimum qualification of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, as recognised by ACECQA. Hold an ACECQA compliant First Aid Certificate, including Resuscitation, Asthma Management, and Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain).

Current child protection training and knowledge. Be required to be the Responsible person for the day to day operation of the Service, in accordance with regulatory requirements, during the absence of the Nominated Supervisor. You must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen.
