About the Centre/Service

We are a community run sessional preschool offering two 4 year old groups and one 3 year old group. We are excited to offer a Bush kinder program to our 4 year old groups as well as offering a nature play program within the 3 year old program. We are fortunate enough to border Mullum Mullum Linear Park and Currawong Bush Park and utilise these within the program. We have been awarded an EXCEEDING National Quality standards rating In 2023 and educators are passionate to continue to offer outstanding service to the community. We are committed to maintaining a child-safe environment at all times and adhere to current Child Safe Standards. Gum Nut Gully Preschool has a proud reputation for providing high quality services that help each child reach their full potential.

Description

We are looking to employ an experienced, committed and enthusiastic Diploma qualified educator who is prepared to work within a small collaborative team of dedicated educators. The successful candidate will assist in implementing a high quality preschool program that delivers positive outcomes for children and families. The position is a part-time position, commencing term 1 2026, working with one of our 4 year old groups and our three year group under the VECTEA Award. You will work alongside a qualified teacher and another Diploma qualified educator with a maximum of 27 children in each group.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education

  • Current WWCC

  • National Police check
  • First Aid
  • Anaphylaxis training
  • Asthma Training
  • Protecting Children- Mandatory Reporting Obligations
  • Would consider a Cert III working towards a Diploma for the group, or recent Early Childhood Teaching graduates willing to work in a Diploma pay rate position for the role.
