Role Description

This is an on-site (Contractor) AOD Program Facilitator role located in Sydney, NSW. The AOD Program Facilitator will be responsible for delivering therapeutic group programs and other workshops. The role includes creating and maintaining a positive and inclusive environment, supporting individual and group engagement, and tailoring programs to the specific needs of participants. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, the facilitator will ensure program goals align with organizational values and meet the participants' developmental objectives.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
  • Experience in facilitating group-based programs, workshops, or individual interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills, with the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, counseling techniques, or behavior management strategies.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including program planning, reporting, and participant progress tracking.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals navigating disability, psychosocial challenges, trauma, or socio-economic disadvantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field (or relevant experience in a similar role).
  • Experience working with the NDIS or within correctional and post-release contexts is highly regarded.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and client-centered care.
