With over 30 years of experience in the taxation industry, we are a boutique firm of Accountants based in Caringbah, currently seeking a reliable and organised Taxation Assistant/Office Administrator to join our team.

This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our busy office. The ideal candidate will support our accountants with administrative and taxation-related tasks, contributing to a well-structured and professional workplace, with occasional client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:


• Set up clients in our tax program, sending out tax returns for signature, and lodgement of tax returns.


• Data entry (tax returns, maintaining records and debtors)


• Liaise with clients, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other government agencies to address inquiries and provide support.


• Issue client refunds via our client trust account


• Oversee day-to-day office management, email distribution, general administrative tasks, general liaison with the principal and senior accountants as well as the administration assistant.

Requirements:


• Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.


• A high level of attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Prior experience in an accountant's office along with taxation experience is an advantage but not essential. On the job training will be provided.
