Assistant Project Officer

• Duration: Temporary up to 4 years
• Location: Bathurst or Sydney
• Grade: 5/6 ($99,938 - $110,271 + Super)
  

This Assistant Project Officer role sits within the Spatial
Technology team of Spatial Services.  Spatial
Technology are responsible for providing, developing and supporting IT-related
services to Spatial Services' other business units, customers and to the public
of NSW.  The team support a wide range of
services both on-premises and within AWS Cloud environments.

As an Assistant Project Officer you will undertake a range
of research, analysis, reporting and administrative activities to support the
development and delivery of IT-related projects, in-line with established
project plans and objectives.  The role
is a key contact point between the Spatial Technology team and its stakeholders,
as well as providing the primary administrative support to the Spatial
Technology management team.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A demonstrated ability to assist in managing projects to a high quality and ensuring deadlines are met.
• The ability to flexibly adapt within a changing environment, through multi-tasking, prioritisation of competing requests and by applying an innovative and analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication and engagement skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as a part of a dynamic team.
• A customer focused mindset: using effective planning, organisational, research and problem-solving skills to provide quality service to the community, internal and external customers.
  

The following are desirable, but not essential criteria:

• Experience in SAP and/or financial management
• Experience working within an IT-centric team
• Contract management and governance experience

Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting
at 99,938 base plus superannuation
