About the Role

As a Senior Cloud Project Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of mission-critical cloud initiatives within a highly secure environment. You'll manage project artefacts, coordinate multi-agency forums, and ensure governance, reporting, and communication are delivered to the highest standard. Your ability to adapt quickly, resolve issues proactively, and engage with both business and technical stakeholders will be essential to success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate project delivery activities across multiple stakeholders and work streams.
  • Facilitate governance forums – prepare agendas, record minutes, track actions, and follow up on outcomes.
  • Produce executive briefs, reports, and communications for senior leadership.
  • Maintain project documentation, risk registers, and progress reports aligned with approved methodologies.
  • Oversee records management and project documentation within Objective and related systems.
  • Conduct daily stand-ups and assist with work package planning to manage priorities and scope effectively.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Certification or formal training in Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, Scrum).
  • Proven experience in a project role within a National Intelligence Community (NIC) agency or similar highly secure government environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery and hands-on experience supporting project control boards and governance activities.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical, business, and executive audiences.

Highly Desirable:

  • Exposure to commercial cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS) and modern DevOps concepts.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps and GovTEAMS in a project context.
  • Familiarity with Australian Government protective security frameworks and practices.
