About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Accommodation Services Manager to join our progressive home in Engadine, located in the heart of the Engadine Town Centre.

Shift schedule : Monday to Friday

In this key leadership role, you'll support the General Manager in planning, organising, and delivering high-quality maintenance, cleaning, and laundry services. You'll ensure our environment remains safe, comfortable, and well-presented for residents, families, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of maintenance, cleaning, and laundry services to ensure high standards of presentation and safety.
  • Coordinate and roster employees to ensure adequate coverage and skill mix.
  • Work closely with administration, admissions, and maintenance teams to meet environmental service needs.
  • Maintain and monitor daily schedules for cleaning, laundry, and linen services.
  • Lead, mentor, and support team members through training, onboarding, and appraisals.
  • Oversee the Preventative Maintenance Program and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the home meets safety and presentation standards.
  • Ensure safe use and storage of chemicals and equipment.
  • Liaise with Head Office Operations on building and environmental repairs.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive workplace aligned with WHS obligations.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities in service delivery.

Essential Skills and Requirements

  • Practical knowledge of maintenance, repairs, and safe equipment use.
  • Experience coordinating cleaning, laundry, and/or maintenance services.
  • Proven leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Good written and verbal English skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Current Police Check, valid working rights, and current COVID-19 & Influenza vaccinations.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience using commercial cleaning or laundry equipment.
  • Understanding of Infection Prevention and Control practices.
  • Previous experience in aged care, health care, or community services.
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Leadership or management qualification (Certificate or higher).
