Club Engadine RSL currently has a role available for a Casual Relief Duty Manager for an immediate start.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on role that requires someone who enjoys interacting with customers and has a high level of customer service offering members and guests a great experience. The tasks cover both operational management and strategic decision-making to ensure that the venue runs efficiently while adhering to regulations and maintaining customer satisfaction. The role will report to both the full-time Duty Manager and the Operations Manager, depending on the shift.

This role will involve the following duties but not limited to:

Relief Duty Manager

Manage the operation of the club, venue and events to ensure smooth service and excellent guest experience.

• Coordinating events and entertainment activities to engage members and guests.
• Maintain excellent service standards during their shift by leading their teams with a hands-on approach
• Be responsible for the opening & closing of Club premises
• Set up function rooms as per daily instructions as required
• Ensuring that security measures are in place and the property is maintained to a high standard
• Coordinating and troubleshooting membership programs, including sign-ups, renewals, and related services
• Ensure compliance with the Registered Clubs Act, Liquor Act, Gaming Machines Act and WHS responsibilities
• Assisting with harm minimisation responsibilities and ensuring customer well-being
• Complete duties and reporting as RGO
• Complete daily clearance and safe reconciliation
• Complete a detailed daily shift report on closing shifts
• Managing the daily roster and the delegation of workflows
• Motivate the team to ensure they are providing the best possible service
• First point of contact for all front-line staff queries on shift
• First point of contact for escalated customer queries
• Looking after the cleanliness of all areas of the Club
• Complete and submit reports on injury, employee counselling or incidents
• Other reasonable duties assigned by senior managers
• Attend operational meetings as required
• Building relationships with local community organisations and ensuring the club's contributions are well-executed and appreciated.

Club Attendant

• Provide service from bars
• Set up/close bars for trade
• Ensure the cleanliness of the venue at all times
• Attend gaming machine service calls
• Troubleshooting basic gaming machine issues
• Troubleshoot basic gaming machine faults
• Operate TAB and Keno terminals

The successful candidates will:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in hospitality (Registered Clubs) or management
• Have impeccable grooming and personal presentation standards
• Be a team player and take ownership of your responsibilities while on shift
• Have the flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and night shifts (we have staff on-site from 7AM to 2AM)
• Be excited to participate in opportunities for further training and development
• TAB and Keno experience preferred
• EGM experience preferred
