**About the opportunity**

We are currently seeking **a permanent part-time** **Bus Driver/Maintenance**to join our Accommodation Service Team at our **Moran Engadine** **and Sylvania homes** with the ability to support maintenance as required. This role is important to us as it ensures the safe transport of our residents on outings and visits, the maintenance of our residences and the upkeep of our gardens.

**_Shift: Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 16:00pm._**

**Key Responsibilities**:
The **Bus Driver**is responsible for transporting our residents and others to various outings / locations / appointments.

The Bus Driver is responsible not only for safety and skillful driving, but also being able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with residents, volunteers and staff.
- Performance of beginning-shift vehicle inspections before departure and record in log book.
- Complete risk assessment for each bus route on schedule with all stops, including parking.
- Transport residents and other passengers - two days per week
- Obey all traffic laws to ensure passengers arrive to their destination safely
- Maintain a clean and mechanically sound vehicle at all times
- Meet safety, quality, and hygiene standards
- Assist passengers with getting on and off the bus as needed

The **Maintenance officer / Handy person** is responsible for routine maintenance activities inside and outside the home and the Preventative Maintenance Schedule which covers equipment, building, fixtures and fittings and some gardens.
- Perform maintenance tasks - Reactive & Preventative Maintenance Schedule
- Maintain records using established systems and processes
- Receive deliveries and manage bulk storeroom
- Maintain the grounds of the home

**Skills/Requirements**:

- Current NSW Driving Licence Class LR (Light Rigid)
- Some experience in maintenance would be highly regarded
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work semi-autonomously
- Experience and understanding of Legislative requirements for Essential Services and WHS requirements for maintenance & repairs
- A positive, proactive approach and be well presented at all times
- Basic Computer skills
- Knowledge of the aged care industry will be favourably considered
- Current Police Check and valid working rights.
- Current Influenza vaccination
- COVID-19 vaccination including booster
