About the Role

We are looking for a Casual Electrical Estimator to join our team on a flexible contract basis.

This role offers the perfect balance between professional engagement and personal time—ideal for a retired electrician or someone who values flexible working hours without the demands of a full-time role.

Key details:

  • Contract Salary: $3,600 per month
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (20 hours per week)
  • Hybrid work arrangement: Work from home and attend site meetings as needed to gather details for quotations or tenders.
  • Start Date: Immediate start available.

A Typical Day
  • Log into our job management system (SimPRO) to review new tasks assigned by the operations team.
  • Use field staff's site notes, job descriptions, bills of materials, and labour estimates to prepare accurate desktop quotations or estimates.
  • Apply your industry knowledge to refine details, validate labour times, and ensure each quotation is realistic and competitive.
  • Communicate with clients via email or phone to clarify requirements, handle variations, and follow up for quotation acceptance.
  • Liaise with colleagues to gather additional information as needed.
  • Attend occasional site meetings to collect information for quotes, tenders, or estimates.
  • Prepare and submit tender requests in line with deadlines.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in electrical estimating, quoting, and tendering (essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in costing and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with SimPRO is highly beneficial (training provided if needed).
  • A current driver's licence and ability to attend site meetings.
