Job Description
Key Account Manager - Requirements of this position:
Key Account Manager (KAM) Will Oversee And Take Ownership Of The Contracted Guard-force(s) Operating Within Designated Client Offices (Data Centres) Nationally As Listed Below

  • Act as a single point of contact between the contracted guard-force, the supporting vendor branch office, the Country Corporate Security management team, and the Securitas Project Management Team, in areas of operational service management, communications, co-ordination, administration and escalations. This will require building and maintaining proactive, collaborative relationships with all key stakeholder groups (internal & external).
  • Taking ownership of contracted guard-force tasks & responsibilities relevant to the agreed Scope of Works, ensuring full compliance with our client's security & safety policies, guidelines, requirements, quality standards and SLAs/ KPIs in particular.
  • Partnering with the client's team & other key stakeholders to ensure, where necessary, that service delivery is adapted to meet new standards, changing requirements or situational demands
  • Assist the mobilisation of any new services or locations in the region and ensure an efficient, issue-free commencement of service.
  • Providing strong leadership, supervision, and direction to assigned guard-forces, ensuring the following:
  • Recruitment, onboarding, development & retention of staff is appropriately managed and collating statistics related to recruitment efforts and retention. Ensuring all staff receive the appropriate levels of training, guidance & supervision needed to complete their individual roles with competency.
  • Oversight of training programs (National, State-wide or site-level), identification of training gaps and resolution of same.
  • Personal formulation and/or delivery of training packages addressing specific training needs.
  • Ensuring that all staff have the necessary tools, equipment, and information to effectively perform their duties. And that all staff are aware of, and compliant with, the relevant Client & Securitas Security SOPs/ Safety policies and procedures.
  • All site-level service delivery issues/ failures are identified, reported & resolved. All relevant security or safety-related incidents receive an immediate operational response and are reported / escalated as appropriate to their nature.
  • The KAM will be embedded into our client's business, operating primarily for Clients operational needs.
  • The KAM will be required to maintain an agreed travel schedule locally and nationally supporting key operational relationships and standards. Short-notice response travel and periods of extended stay in support of specific projects or business activities will / may also be required.

The KAM will be contracted and report directly to the General Manager and Client Project Management team.

Mandatory Personal Attributes required:

  • Excellent and proven ability in managing national contracts and leading large teams.
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to prioritize against urgency and importance.
  • Prepared to make tough decisions whilst taking accountability and considering risks to meet operational needs.
  • Have a high level of verbal and written accuracy and effective communication with complex information and the ability to adapt communication style when interacting with different stakeholders.

  • Strategic Thinking relevant to diligent planning and forecasting.
  • Customer Management to always ensure client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work across areas to maximize productivity and secure buy-in from internal and external stakeholders.

Education & Certifications

  • Certificate II and III or higher in Security Operations
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate with NSW Security License
  • Diploma or degree Level education in Business Administration would be desired.
