The Opportunity

As the Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key customers within the single family new construction and renovation segments in NSW. 

You will partner closely with these customers, National Account Managers and the state team in leading the implementation of James Hardie's national sales and marketing strategies at state level to strengthen our competitive position and deliver on growth targets year on year. 

What you'll do

  • Account management of key customers to drive growth in the repeat use, and advocacy for, James Hardie products within Renovations and New Construction segments
  • Partner closely with the National Account Managers to cascade integrated business plans aligning with joint plans at store, key stakeholder and rep level within key locations
  • Identify key 'enabler' stakeholders in the region and within customers, and engage effectively for desired business outcomes
  • Work alongside the state team to deliver our Value Proposition, activating customer teams as an extension of James Hardie to leverage effective execution of growth targets

What you'll bring 

  • Bachelor degree in Business/Commerce or related is desirable
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience with a proven track record in Business Development
  • Experience within the building and/construction industry would be a bonus but not essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong stakeholder management experience
  • Proven ability to shift seamlessly between strategic and tactical thinking to deliver outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training programs to build customers capability
  • Team player who can work cross functionally
