About us

SACC operates the Urgent Care Clinics at Sandringham Hospital, Prahran and Frankston; health pathways and a private medical practice. We are embedded in the Bayside community and have a team of passionate clinical and non-clinical staff.

Designed to take pressure of Emergency Departments, our clinics see a high volume of walk-in patients, which plays a vitally important role in overall patient experience. We see patients with minor injuries such as fractures, skin infections and wound management. We are here to support people in their time of need, alleviating congestion in emergency departments and helping deliver high quality care.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Operations Manager to support day to day operational support - including rostering, supporting GP recruitment, facilities, supply and administration support.

The role is 4-5 days per week, and will include every second weekend on (both Saturday and Sunday). We're ideally looking for someone 32-38hrs per week. The role will also need to support on-call phone support to the team throughout the week.

Position Overview

In this dynamic role, you'll be managing the day-to-day operations of our health services, ensuring everything runs smoothly. You will coordinate staff schedules, help optimize processes, and provide administration oversight to the small operations team. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will be essential.

As the Operations Manager - you will be key member of our support hub team and involved in many elements of the services we provide.

Communication will be a key measurement of success in this position. You'll act as a liaison point for many staff and partner organisations, handling inquiries, relaying important information, and ensuring effective communication across various teams. Whether it's addressing operational queries or ensuring smooth teamwork, you will be the hub that keeps everything connected. You'll be coordinating GPs, Registered Nurses and Medical Receptionists on a daily basis, where building meaningful relationships will be key to your success.

Who we're looking for

We need someone with a background in health services, practice administration/management or a related field, ideally with exposure to service support and rostering, working with a range of health professionals. If you have around 2-3 years of experience in an administrative, practice management or operational support role, particularly in healthcare, you'll be a great fit for this role.

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, with a keen ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, as you'll be working with people across all levels of the organisation.  You should be a natural problem solver, with a sharp attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements and Attributes

  • Must have prior experience working in Medical or related administration like role
  • Strong focus on administration and concierge
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Exposure to use of rostering systems and platforms (e.g Tanda)
  • Permanent Australian residents or hold a current, valid working visa
  • Current National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current full driving licence required
