**The Opportunity**
The George Retirement Living, located in Sandringham VIC, has an opportunity for a resident-centred **Care Manager** to lead a team of dedicated care staff and oversee the care needs of our retirement living residents. Care Managers play a key role in our organisation with the goal to create a happy, welcoming, caring, and safe environment for residents and staff. Working in an established community alongside the Village Manager, you will be committed to providing high-quality service by leading your care team of Nurses and Personal Care Attendants, liaising with residents, families, and external health professionals on a regular basis, mentoring your Case Managers to ultimately enable a retirement lifestyle full of choice, security, and enjoyment. **This is a permanent full-time position working Monday-Friday. On-site parking available.**
**You will**
- Provide exceptional clinical leadership and operational management to your care team of Personal Care Attendants, RN's and Case Managers.
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of care and support services for residents, including respite residents.
- Monitor care team staffing and workflows, to ensure they are aligned to resident support plans and budgets
- Oversee the practices of all care staff and provide guidance and training as required to ensure the provision of safe & quality care is provided
- Deliver excellent customer service to residents, families, and internal and external stakeholders
- Recruitment, induction, training, and supervision of care employees.
- Manage staff performance in accordance with Aveo policies, up to and including disciplinary action.
- Ensure all residents' preferences and lifestyle wishes are respected and promoted.
**What you will bring**:
- Care/Clinical leadership experience in a similar role (Community or Home Care desired but all Residential Aged Care backgrounds considered)
- Understanding of Home Care Packages (desired but not essential)
- Highly developed clinical assessment skills and ability to deliver high-quality clinical care with compassion
- Current AHPRA registration (Div. 1) and CPR Certificate
- Well-developed people management and communication skills to ensure you can lead your team of 20+ staff to success
- Proficient in the use of technology and digital systems
- Current Police Check and COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date
