About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has opened to join the Governance Team

Reporting to the Manager Governance, you will support the implementation of a contemporary governance culture throughout the organisation by implementing robust governance processes, whilst providing the Council Business Lead and Governance Coordinator with administrative support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Governance Department. You will be responsible for coordinating civic functions that are held throughout the year, with out of business hours attendance required.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Experience in high level administration, ideally within Local Government or relevant experience
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks seamlessly
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of people
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Professional judgement to handle sensitive matters with discretion

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check
