This is a Permanent opportunity
Are you looking to start or grow your career in human resources within a supportive and purpose-driven organisation? The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) is seeking a dedicated Human Resource Officer – Payroll to join our Strategy and Performance portfolio at our Joondalup office.
In this role, you will play an important part in delivering accurate and timely payroll services. Working under close supervision, you will assist with payroll data entry, maintain employee records, and respond to routine pay-related enquiries. Your contribution will help ensure payroll accuracy, data integrity, and the smooth operation of our payroll function.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to work collaboratively in a team environment. You will be expected to follow established procedures and contribute to improvements in HR practices and service delivery. This is a great opportunity to build your skills and make a meaningful impact in a values-led organisation.
At DWER, every employee is considered a leader. You'll be supported to grow as a Personal Leader, demonstrating behaviours that reflect our values: we serve to make a difference, we build trust, we care, we keep open minds, and we work better together. We are committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness, and we strive to create culturally safe and inclusive services, especially for Aboriginal people and communities.
Please note that a national police check will be conducted prior to employment.
If you are ready to contribute to a team that values integrity, collaboration, and service excellence, we encourage you to apply and be part of something better.
For further information about the opportunity, we encourage you to contact Garth Collins on or via email during business hours.
