For over 30 years, the Patricia Giles Centre for Non-Violence (PGCNV) has been one of the leading providers of family and domestic violence services in the Perth metropolitan area. Supporting more than 5,000 Western Australian women and children last year, they provide crisis accommodation facilities and support, women's and children's counselling services and outreach programs. Currently, it employs around 60 highly dedicated people.

Its reputation is driven by its commitment to providing a high-quality, client-focused and sustainable service to clients accessing our programs and services. In addition to the provision of direct response and recovery services, PGCNV also provides advocacy, referral information and support to women and their children seeking relief from the impact of domestic violence.

The Position:

Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Manager People & Culture will lead the organisation's HR function and play a key role in shaping culture, capacity and capability. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Delivering the People & Culture strategy and workforce planning.
  • Driving employee engagement, wellbeing and cultural initiatives.
  • Overseeing recruitment, onboarding and the full employee lifecycle.
  • Leading organisational development, learning and training frameworks.
  • Providing expert HR, IR and ER advice to leaders.
  • Ensuring WHS compliance, HR policies and best practice systems.
  • Reporting on key people metrics and supporting payroll processes.

About You:

You are an experienced HR leader with strong strategic and operational capability. Skilled in workforce planning, culture change, employee relations and WHS, you are an excellent communicator who can influence across all levels. Additionally, you will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and organisational culture.
  • Proven ability to manage complex people and workplace issues.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with HRIS.
  • A commitment to values-based, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practice.
