Temporary Office Assistant – Retail Store

Location:Osborne Park

Contract: 3-month temporary assignment (immediate start)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (30-minute break)

Potential: Possibility of extension or transition into another role

About the Role We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Office Assistant to provide temporary support during the rollout of our new POS system. You will work closely with our existing Sales Support Officer inside a busy retail and trade-focused carpet store. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic environment, is confident on the phone, and is comfortable supporting a range of administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls to the retail store (approximately 50–70 calls per day) and provide friendly, professional customer service
  • Assist with data entry, including transferring existing quotes into the new POS system
  • Provide general administrative support such as scanning, printing, proofreading, and filing
  • Help maintain a tidy and organised office environment (e.g., dishwasher, coffee machine, basic housekeeping)
  • Support the Sales Support Officer with various ad hoc office duties during the transition period

Skills & Experience

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact confidently in a retail/trade environment
  • Previous administration experience preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with high call volumes
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and general system navigation
  • Ability to work collaboratively and side-by-side with an existing team member
