About the Opportunity
Apprenticeship Support Australia (ASA) are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the team as an Assessments Officer - Apprenticeships/Traineeships(internally known as Apprenticeship Support Officer, Readiness Support). In this role, you will play a pivotal role in assessing the skill levels, skill needs, and aptitude for occupations for Australian Apprentices and Trainees. You will also assist your team in evaluating the suitability and readiness of employers to support apprentices. This role will deliver a broad range of general administrative support that focusses on making bookings for field team members, undertaking virtual or face to face assessments prior to sign-up.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in our Osborne Park office.
Key Responsibilities
The role will include a range of day-to-day tasks including:
- Completing outbound and inbound customer service calls and providing general advice to clients
- Undertaking virtual or face to face assessments in-line with guideline requirements
- Completing accurate data entry and maintaining databases
- Booking in meetings to conduct the Virtual appointments
- Identifying and considering any potential barriers for apprentices, by conducting a risk assessment to determine the likelihood of successful apprenticeship completion for both apprentices and employers
- Maintaining open and supportive communication with apprentices, employers, RTOs, and other stakeholders
- Providing compassionate support to apprentices and employers by fostering a positive environment for successful apprenticeship completion
About You
To be a successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Understanding/knowledge of apprenticeships and traineeships.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Ability to work to and deliver on KPIs
- National Police Clearance & Working with Children Check
