We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Officers to support our Major Infrastructure Projects team in delivering key development projects which will improve healthcare infrastructure for all Western Australians.

We have multiple vacancies for Fixed Term appointments for an initial 12 months, with the possibility of extension(s), at hours from Full-time (76 hrs / fortnight) to Part-Time minimum 0.6FTE (minimum 60.8 hrs / fortnight).
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur until
31 December 2026.
Project Background And Position Description
The $1.8 billion New Women and Babies Hospital Project is one of the most significant investments for Western Australia and includes:

  • A new Women and Babies Hospital located at Fiona Stanley Hospital precinct in Murdoch.
  • Expansion of obstetrics, gynaecology and neonatology services, at Osborne Park Hospital, including a Family Birth Centre, birthing suites and theatres.
  • The expansion of neonatology services at Perth Children's Hospital.
  • Relocation of the Sexual Assault Resource Centre, Genetic Health WA and the WA Register of Developmental Anomalies to their new locations

This program represents a significant opportunity to improve women and newborn health services across the Perth metropolitan area and improve the delivery of healthcare to Western Australians.

Senior Project Officers may work on one or multiple locations within the scope of the Project.

What is our Senior Project Officer role?
The Senior Project Officer assists with coordination, planning and delivery activities for the NWBHP. The position works within a multi-faceted project governance environment to provide support in the development of detailed design and project management documentation.

Key Responsibilities Will Include Providing

  • Support the Project Manager(s) through the contribution of project plans, strategies, and processes
  • Consultation and stakeholder engagement and management
  • Undertaking reviews and coordinating the flow of information on design drawings in line with the requirements of the WA Health system. On site presence to assist with coordination of site activities.

In addition, two of the Senior Project Officer positions have a dedicated focus area and provide their experience across all locations within the scope of the Project:

Senior Project Officer – Facilities Management (FM) and Assets

Senior Project Officer – Furniture Fittings and Equipment (FF&E)

These Roles Will

  • Coordinate preparation of equipment and materials specifications and development of preliminary design/ services requirements in collaboration with subject matter experts and key stakeholders.
  • Management and coordination of stakeholder groups to ensure an agreed position on the building layout, materials and finishes, equipment, furniture and engineering.
