Your new role

As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary capital works projects from design through to construction and handover. You'll manage contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of civil, building, landscape, and public domain projects.
  • Coordinate with designers, suppliers, utilities, and contractors to meet project objectives.
  • Administer contracts, lead tender evaluations, and act as Superintendent's Representative.
  • Provide technical advice, risk management, and reporting using Council systems.
  • Mentor graduate project officers and foster collaborative team environments.

Projects may include:

  • Roadworks and footpaths
  • Lighting installations
  • Playground upgrades
  • Toilet block construction
  • Floating pontoons
  • Heritage refurbishments
  • Public open space developments

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management.
  • Proven experience managing infrastructure projects in a local government or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, design standards, and contract administration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Office 365, SAP, and project reporting tools.
  • Class C Driver's Licence and WHS construction induction certification.
