About The Role
Step into a pivotal leadership role where your expertise will shape the future of group life claims management in Queensland. As a senior leader, you'll drive innovation, set strategic direction, and empower a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes for our members. As a key member of our Claims leadership team, you will:
- Lead and inspire an end-to-end claims team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and best practice.
- Champion holistic, member-centric claims management, ensuring every member's journey is supported with empathy, courage, and excellence.
- Provide technical leadership in claims decision-making, policy interpretation, and board delegation approvals, ensuring compliance with ART Life's policies and reinsurance guidelines.
- Mentor and develop talent, delivering ongoing coaching and capability uplift across the team to achieve optimal member outcomes.
- Drive strategic projects and organisational change, collaborating across the business to deliver on strategic plans and uplift service delivery.

- You excel at leading, motivating, and developing teams, with a flexible leadership and coaching style that brings out the best in people.

- You're highly analytical, able to interpret dashboards, reports, and financial data to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Experience in complex claims assessment and management within a structured framework would be preferred.
- Another advantage is the ability to demonstrate expert knowledge of group insurance products, along with a strong understanding of all relevant regulatory, legislative, and industry requirements.
