Position Summary
The Sales Consultant is responsible for guiding clients through the custom home building journey—from initial inquiry through to contract signing. This role requires a combination of sales expertise, customer service, industry knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex building processes in a clear and personable manner. The ideal candidate is passionate about property and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to new client enquiries and qualify leads for suitability.
- Conduct client meetings to understand their needs, vision, and budget.
- Present and promote Aliya Homes' design options, inclusions, and build process.
- Prepare and present custom home proposals and preliminary estimates.
- Liaise with drafting, estimating, and construction teams to deliver accurate quotes and feasibility advice.
- Maintain CRM with updated client records, follow-ups, and status updates.
- Manage the sales process from lead generation to signed building contract.
- Attend site visits, display homes, and relevant industry events as required.
- Meet monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
- Provide exceptional customer service and act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales journey.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in new home or custom home sales (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of residential construction, design, and council/DA processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-centric mindset with a genuine desire to help clients.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work weekends and after-hours appointments when necessary.
- A current driver's license and own reliable transport.
Desirable Qualities
- Experience with luxury or architectural custom homes.
- Background in real estate, building design, or construction.
- Strong local market knowledge and network within the home building industry.
