About the role
At CMV Truck & Bus Derrimut, we're not just looking for a "Lean expert." We're after someone who knows how dealerships really work and can influence people to do things better - every day. If you've worked in automotive retail, understand the rhythm of service and parts operations, and have the knack for guiding people through change, this could be your next move. This is a unique chance to make a meaningful impact in shaping and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement across our network of dealerships. This role gives you the chance to shape how our dealerships operate, influence positive change, and directly impact customer experience without getting bogged down in theory or red tape.
Based at our state-of-the-art facility in Derrimut within the CMV Training Institute, you will be part of a forward-thinking and supportive environment that values innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
What you'll do
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction across our dealerships.
- Lead cross-functional teams to design and roll out smarter ways of working.
- Coach staff and leaders in continuous improvement practices — making sure improvements stick.
- Embed practical tools like daily improvement meetings and 5S to create a sustainable culture.
- Build strong relationships across the business so ideas and solutions flow freely.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Have Automotive retail experience - you get how dealerships tick.
- Hands-on experience with improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma training is nice, but influence and leadership are more important).
- Be Personable, confident, and persuasive - able to coach at every level from the workshop floor to senior management.
- Hold strong process-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to back up ideas with data.
- Have a customer focus and passion for driving better outcomes.
Amazing Employee Benefits
- Competitive salary package including a company car.
- Access to on-site café and free gym usage.
- Ongoing training and development to support your long-term career.
- Be part of a well-established and dedicated team within a thriving business.
- Opportunities to support community partnerships through the CMV Group Foundation.
- Enjoy annual company dinners and picnics.
