We're Hiring: Family Law Paralegal / Legal Assistant (Part-Time – 3 Days/Week) Location: Sydney CBD

Are you an experienced family law paralegal or legal assistant (or law student) looking to be part of a dynamic, supportive, and specialised team? The Norton Law Group is currently seeking a motivated and capable candidate to join us 3 days per week in our Sydney CBD office.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with a team of senior and associate family lawyers in a hands-on and varied role. You will assist in the preparation and progression of complex family law matters, both parenting and property, and gain invaluable experience.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Drafting legal documents such as Applications, Financial Statements, Subpoenas

Preparing and updating Balance Sheets and Disclosure Indexes

Reviewing and summarising subpoena material and disclosure

Preparing court documents, briefs to counsel, and hearing folders

Drafting detailed correspondence to clients and third parties

Liaising with clients, courts, experts and other stakeholders

File management and diary coordination for solicitors

General administrative support to solicitors and team members

What We're Looking For:

At least 12 months of prior experience in a family law firm (essential)

A strong interest in family law

Familiarity with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia processes

Confident drafting skills and ability to manage competing deadlines

Professional communication, strong attention to detail, and initiative

A team player who is reliable, adaptable, and client-focused
