A unique opportunity currently exists for a part-time Law Clerk to join our busy Public Liability Practice in our Sydney CBD office. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain valuable practical experience in personal injury while studying law.

About the Role:

As a Law Clerk, you will assist a solicitor in running a busy public liability practice. You'll play a key role in supporting the team by helping with drafting client statements, preparing applications, and assisting with client case management.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to hone your legal skills and gain practical experience in a fast-paced, real-world legal setting. You'll have the chance to make a tangible difference to the lives of people who have been injured through workplace or motor vehicle accidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft client statements and applications
  • Assist in managing and progressing client cases
  • Provide general support to the solicitor and legal team
  • Prepare documentation and correspondence
  • Ensure client files are up-to-date and organised
  • Communicate with clients and other parties, where required

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will be studying law and have at least 2 years left to complete your studies. You are motivated, hardworking, and passionate about providing exceptional service to clients. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

You will also need to have:

  • At least 2 years left in your law degree
  • Availability to work 3 days per week (Monday to Friday, flexible to meet your study schedule each semester)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Advanced English in HSC or equivalent)
  • A genuine interest in personal injury and public liability law
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A passion for helping people and a proactive approach to tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
