Southern Pacific Sands are a leading material supplier of sand and concrete products in South-east Queensland. Over the last 25 years we have established ourselves as a reputable and successful wholesale supplier with the more recent expansion of the business into the pre-mixed concrete market.

As our operations grow, we're looking for a dedicated Fleet Coordinator to join our logistics team, based at Ningi, near Bribie Island to help drive the daily operations of our transport fleet. The role is a full-time position, working 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work alternate hours.

About the Role:

As the Fleet Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day activities of our truck drivers and weighbridge operations. You'll ensure deliveries are timely, compliance standards are met, and our transport processes run efficiently and safely. This role includes supervising the weighbridge operations and maintaining close coordination with internal teams and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, allocate and dispatch truck drivers for timely deliveries and collections as required
  • Monitor driver route compliance, and safety standards
  • Supervise and support the weighbridge operator and ensure accurate weight records are maintained and recorded
  • Provide coverage for the weighbridge during periods of leave and absences.
  • Maintain accurate transport records and assist with reporting for management
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, certifications, and operational procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the transport team
  • Assist site visitors by providing directions, safety guidance, and general support as needed
  • Support the coordination of fleet maintenance and compliance where required

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in fleet or transport coordination (transport, logistics, or similar industry)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Familiarity with transport compliance and safety regulations
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams
  • Computer literacy and comfort with administrative tasks
