A unique opportunity exists for a highly experienced Sales Manager, with a proven track record in developing and executing sale strategies, to join the industry leader in online thoroughbred auctions. Established for over 10 years, this organisation has completely reshaped the industry through innovative technology and superior relationship development. They have worked with the largest membership base in Australia and consistently achieve excellent results for their members.

Given the niche nature of their industry prior exposure isn't a pre-requisite but a passion for being a market leader and providing a best-in-class customer experience is essential.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Strategic sales experience: The ability to identify and convert opportunities, discover gaps in the market and develop new service offerings.
  • Lead by example, train, mentor and develop your sales team to ensure their success using proven sales metrics.
  • Recruit additional sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing team and develop sale strategies.
  • Ability to analyse sales data and strategically delegate leads to team members.
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Manage sales reporting and meet regularly with the Director to report on progress.
  • The ability to develop visit schedules that includes metropolitan and regional clientele: maximising face time and minimising unproductive travel time.
  • Attend networking events and corporate race days to build relationships.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian geography and the flexibility to travel as required. There is potential to expand overseas for the right candidate.
  • Proven track record in achieving deadlines and revenue targets.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with diverse industry stakeholders.

You must be an expert in navigating a CRM; the experience in Pipedrive would be an advantage.

You will be based in the North Sydney office. In addition to your sales responsibilities, you will be required to actively participate in company meetings and lead sales meetings, provide guidance to your sales/support team and provide regular performance updates to the Director.
