Workfast is currently seeking an experienced Stores & Purchasing Officer to join our client's Defence Operations team in Seven Hills.

Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 per annum (inclusive of Superannuation)

Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm

Location: Seven Hills, NSW

You'll be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services, maintaining accurate inventory control, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. What you need

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a purchasing, stores, or supply chain role
  • Experience in inventory management, procurement, and logistics coordination
  • Proficient with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements
  • Valid Forklift Licence (LF) and current Driver's Licence
  • Certificate III or higher in Warehousing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related discipline (desirable)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Police Check, Drug & Alcohol Test, and Medical Assessment

What you will be doing

  • Managing daily stores and warehouse operations including receipting, storage, and dispatch
  • Inspecting incoming goods against purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and performing regular stocktakes
  • Sourcing and purchasing goods and services to meet production and operational requirements
  • Raising purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and expediting critical items
  • Liaising with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery, and quality standards
  • Operating forklifts and handling materials safely and efficiently
  • Generating documentation including NCRs for non-conforming goods
  • Maintaining warehouse organisation, cleanliness, and compliance with safety procedures
