About the role

We are a well established & vibrant Accountancy Practice seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant - Tax, SMSF & Business Services to join our team in North Melbourne, Victoria. This full-time role will be responsible for providing strategic and high-quality tax, SMSF and Business Services to our diverse client base.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage a portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries
  • Preparing/reviewing Income Tax Returns, Financial Statements, BAS, etc
  • Providing advisory services on tax planning, compliance, and strategy
  • Administration & Compliance of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs)
  • Advising clients on a range of accounting and business-related matters
  • Mentoring and supervising junior team members
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Maintaining a high level of technical expertise

What we're looking for

  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in a senior tax and accounting role
  • Proven expertise in individual and business taxation
  • Experience in SMSF compliance and administration preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of taxation laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and tax concepts to clients
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering practical solutions for clients
