Due to continued growth, Gardner Brown Accountants is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our professional team on a remote basis, ideally located in Melbourne or surrounding areas.

We are an established firm known for providing high-quality business and taxation services to a diverse range of clients. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while being fully supported by an experienced and collaborative team.


About the Role

In this position, you will:

  • Work remotely as part of our professional accounting team, maintaining strong communication and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Mentor and support junior accountants, assisting with technical queries and workflow reviews.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, and business compliance work.
  • Manage your own portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality service in line with firm standards.

We provide structured systems and cloud-based tools that make remote collaboration efficient and effective.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline (CA/CPA qualified or working towards not a necessity but preferred).
  • At least 4–5 years of experience in a professional accounting practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy in a remote environment.
  • A proactive, client-focused attitude and commitment to professional excellence.

  2. Experience – minimum five years' experience in a similar accounting role, with sound technical knowledge.
