About the Role

Reporting to the Infrastructure - Planning Superintendent, the successful candidate will join an energetic and multi-disciplined team to perform planning for preventive and corrective maintenance on fixed plant and mining equipment.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are considered desirable for this position:

  • A Mechanical Trade certificate.
Skills

The incumbent should have the following skills and/or experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in the relevant field - mineral processing, mining, or heavy industry.
  • Positive attitude towards preventive and reliability-centred maintenance.
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning principles, procedures, and computerised maintenance systems (CMMS).
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in spreadsheets, MS Project, and word processing applications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Capability to develop and work within a team environment.
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices.
  • Ability to adapt to and proactively engage in a changing work environment.
Competencies

The incumbent should have the following competencies:

  • Apply First Aid certification.
  • Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
  • Planning Training Modules 1 and 2.

  • Undertake any duties as directed by the Line Manager or Manager(s).
  • Conduct themselves in accordance with and promote the Talison Values.
